Tempeh chips are created from Non-GMO soybeans, originating from Indonesia. These plant-based protein chips are pre-cooked, then fermented and fried in oil, utilizing the Rhizopus Oligosporus mold, akin to cheese making. Through fermentation, Tempeh chips become easier to digest, and vital nutrients like calcium, zinc, and iron are more readily absorb able compared to non-fermented soy products like tofu.
